Domestikasi atau Foreignisasi? Membongkar Ideologi dan Strategi Penerjemahan Idiom dalam Film Weapons

Penerjemahan takarir dalam media audiovisual sering kali diwarnai oleh benturan budaya yang memaksa penerjemah untuk mengorbankan makna estetis teks sumber demi mencapai kelancaran membaca penonton sasaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi penerjemahan idiom secara mikro dalam pencapaian kesepadanan pragmatik, sekaligus mengungkap kecenderungan ideologi penerjemah secara makro pada film aksi kriminal Weapons. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain analisis wacana sosiokultural, data penelitian ditarik melalui teknik sampel bertujuan dari transkrip takarir bahasa sumber dan bahasa sasaran. Analisis data dilakukan dengan memadukan taksonomi kesepadanan pragmatik dan kerangka ideologi domestikasi serta foreignisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dominasi mutlak penggunaan strategi parafrase dan penghilangan yang berfungsi mereduksi elemen budaya asing dan ekspresi bahasa gaul ekstrem. Secara makro, akumulasi dari strategi mikro tersebut membuktikan hegemoni ideologi domestikasi, di mana penerjemah secara sistematis tunduk pada norma sosial dan memprioritaskan kelancaran membaca penonton di Indonesia. Meskipun terdapat anomali minor berupa jejak foreignisasi melalui penerjemahan literal, praktik tersebut terbukti memicu distorsi semantik yang merusak ilusi kelancaran tayangan. Kesimpulannya, tingkat keterbacaan memegang supremasi tertinggi di atas pelestarian estetika bahasa gaul dalam industri media populer. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis dengan membongkar alasan sosiokultural di balik pemilihan strategi teknis yang dilakukan oleh penerjemah.
